Do people actually ever really sell on this site

Or is there better way. I've been on few times and no one is ever on.

Hi - I can say as an insider sales on the marketplace are very slow. One of the big problems is sellers post inventory, then sell it on some other venue and don't update their sale lists here. A buyer comes along and offers to purchase and never hears anything.

I'm surprised more big eBay stores people don't move their selling here, since the fees are almost nothing! The most a seller ever gets charged is 1%. You can sell for free if you are a Premium Subscriber. If I had a big eBay store, where fees keep going up and up and everybody is taking a slice of the pie, I'd move my stuff to Nosto, alert my main buyers if possible, and set up camp here where you don't get gouged every time you click a button.

Well, the search on this site is pathetic...you just cant get a good result,or any result sometime!!

Just saying it's pathetic doesn't give us much to go on. IMO some of the search features on Nosto are far superior to eBay. For example, being able to say "I'm only interested in CGC comics graded 9.6 or higher". Trivial on Nosto, can you do that on eBay and get a real result?"

well, actually,if you try to be specific too much you dont get result,"the amazing spider man" you will get "'mazing man" and others,if you go with "spider man"then you get "the amazing spider man"but with hundread of other options...i found in one search,lets say mag 77,when try search a bit different(spider-man)couldnt find it again....its still there,cause i got in my fav,but through the search i cant...im not american so im not interested in puting my comics into a jail made of plastic...or grading it in the most anal way you can

,so maybe this feature works in the search,but i dont use it,....hope i didnt upset too many people,but the search was a frustrating experience,to say the least...
.other then that,its a very sad day,that one of the funniest,if not THE funniest guy,in this world,passed on to another world....rest in peace robin,you beautiful man...

so you can see only when you search "spider-man" you get,1000' of options...ive searched for a while,had to skip a thousand,search through more pages,skip another thousand,more pages and whoohoo!! man im getting old just finding 1 issue!

surely you visited other comics sites...relatively its pathetic,sorry....

Ok, agreed, this definitely needs improvement! We'll see what we can do here SF...

Hey - appreciate you taking the time to explain your frustrations, thanks. I guess we were focusing too much on the people looking for specific CGC grades. We'll try and remedy this.

I am brand spanking new to the site and have to say that it's great! I also tried to look up Amazing Spiderman earlier and had similar results though. What interested me most about the site were its features and search options. I collect both coins and comic books. I want to be able to communicate with others who have similar interests in collecting. I want to say that the main attractions here are the forum and the 1% sellers fee. I have tried Ebay in the past and I am dissatisfied with its high fees and then having to pay additional fees when I receive money through Paypal. I have tried to sell on CL which offers free listings however I do not receive responses. I will be signing up for the Premium Service soon and hopefully will receive responses to the books that I list. The first step is to get my comics graded. I believe having a comic graded makes the transaction easier as buyers know what they are purchasing. Some people say they will not pay more for a graded book. I disagree because not only are you buying the comic with the knowledge of its true condition but you are paying for the encasing and the grading company's services.

One other thing we are considering, Surfer42, is giving books for sale by Premium Subscribers high visibility (it will become the featured deals on the main browse page).
