I went to see Wolverine last weekend and my Uncle asked me how it was. I paused a second as I really did not know how to answer. "It was good." I replied. That about sums up Wolverine. Good, not great. Thinking back, it had too many "cheezy" moments for my taste. Though Wolverine was a bit more savage in this version, he still lacked the comic book cool that we all love about him. Especially from the Claremont and Byrne X-Men issues. I am not saying to not see it. Just go in with very low expectations and you may enjoy it.

If you are in a place that you have to choose either Wolverine or Star Trek. Go see Star Trek! This is really the perfect time to jump in to this classic Sci-Fi franchise. As a huge fan of the original series, I was not sure that I would enjoy this new version. I was completely drawn in and enjoyed it very much! It was very easy for me to look at the new faces with the now familiar names. The transition was quite fun and exciting! Some new story elements along with some old made for a very entertaining movie that had me thinking by the mid point, I can't wait for the next one. Tribute was paid to some of the original series characters, names and places and I look forward to more of the same. Bring on Khan! The Gorn! Hell, even the Tribbles! I love it! I will not give away any of the story as of yet. If any of you want to chime in, we can discuss more of that later. I left the theatre quite pleased and I would imagine that all of the cast from the original series and Gene Roddenberry are feeling the same.
