So, I have a collection of comics (ok, my husbands, but he is fine with selling) that I am looking to sell. I talked to a couple of local dealers and was quite depressed at the offers that I was given. I know that the best way to get the highest price is selling on your own individually, but only offering $300 for a collection that Nosto says is worth roughly $8,000? Is that what I can expect, or are they trying to get over on me?
It is what you can expect from dealers. What kind of titles does he have? You might get more from someone like myself who is looking for different titles. As a rule of thumb though, dont expect more than around 20% at most of Nosto prices. They are what dealers sell the comics for. Also, the grading is very important. Send me a list of what he has, and I can give you a better idea of what you can make on the collection.
Hey I have the same issue as she does. I have about 600 comics dating from the 80's to the 90. A lot of them are in sets. They are in zip lock bags in very good condition. If i send you a list of what I have do you think you can give me a better estimate then what the comic book store in my area gave me. They quoted me $400.
