This is a great idea Sugarman. Now that I realize you are a Premium Subscriber (based on you commenting you got the newsletter, which only goes out to Premium Subscribers), let's hammer this out. You guys drive the bus as I said in the newsletter and I like this idea a lot and like your initial pitch - your off-the-cuff list is a great start. I'll talk to Jim about this very soon...

Something like this was mentioned on CBCS forum just today, that someone should have a ticker of sorts. I think its a great idea!

With Shrewbeer and Sugarman giving thumbs up, I just wrote up a ticket in the Nosto issue tracking system to try and hash this out. PS, Shrewbeer, if you talk to Thanatos over on CBCS forum, tell him I implemented the idea he suggested and it's live on the Nosto site now.

Sorry, what is live on the site (and where?)
Guys that sale is on ComicLInk's front page now, as a "record sale"
Sweet! Nice easy fix, I hope it draws more folks in here
Haha that 2016 massive value spike was a dead giveaway. It was still a fun little hunt though. Great game idea
That was a fun game! Action 252 ??

Gotta love those massive TV show value bumps
Nvm just found the email!
I dont get the emails, no. I read the newsletter (or maybe thats something else) when I remember to click the link to it when Im on the site
What are we guessing at?
Lets get a forum link up at the top of the main Nosto site, yeah?

Clear out some of these cobwebs. Would look right next to "help" and "My Account". Most of the subscribers probably don't know this place exists, you gotta scroll down to the bottom of a page to get here, or click on the tiny link after clicking on comic books.

I visit the site often, know the forum is here, but forget to check the forum 99% of the time when I'm here.
Balls, wtfff. I suppose when you fuck up that badly in life, you just gotta grin and move on

A bit late, but I got to it eventually

I should check the forums more often here. There's enough people to clear out these cobs but its those like me that don't keep trying and thus just contribute to more webs lol

Your theory sounds like the "Greater fool theory", and I'm not sure that I can disagree.

(in case you need a refresher to the reference) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_fool_theory

There are a LOT of new collectors jumping in the boat, many of them spurred by the current comic market outperforming stocks in many areas. Hell, even comiclink is offering "investment advice". If something significant happens to make these people jump off the boat, prices will TANK!

Personally I won't buy a 9.6 or 9.8 CGC slab. I've had far too many of them downgraded to 9.4 by CBCS. Both companies use pretty much the same grading standard, it just seems that CGC misses things more often. To your point, agreed that there is just too much variation in their grading now. I know a few folks that will only buy older generation CGC slabs for this reason as well.

In terms of the market, CBCS books are catching up fast; they will be more expensive soon!
Hi!

New user, and so far loving the site. I've found one of my books not listed and have sent a request through helpline to get it here (1999 reprint Supes #1), but I havent been able to find any information on signature editions. Is there a way to add signed books, or is there a plan to add this feature?

I only ask because although I only have a small pile of modern age books, 99% are signed and the ~$2 values arent quite accurate

Best
J
