Tommy...
While listing my five issues of ZERO HOUR CRISIS IN TIME #'s 4-3-2-1-0, I was unable to
list my CGC Graded ASHCAN COPY #1. Is this listed somewhere else or are ASHCAN COPIES
not included.
Thanks.

I have 692 books on my PARK AVENUE COLLECTION List...still a few more to
post.
Next I'll try listing my CIRCLE COMICS COLLECTION which includes BATMAN #295
through #545 and DETECTIVE #507 through #681.
Also includes a large assortment of Bronze Age MARVEL'S & DC'S bought from the
PASSAIC BOOK CENTER.

RE: My DETECTIVE #168...it would appear that I could almost double it's value by
having it graded.

Thank you for all your efforts.
My copies of GRAND SLAM THREE ACES were purchased off the newsstand right alongside all the
other major comics in 1945. Published by Anglo-American Publishing in Ontario Canada.
They carry advertising for Fawcett Publications CAPTAIN MARVEL CLUB and MACHANIX ILLUSTRATED
magazine.

Marty - ahhh... Canadian publisher. So probably not listed in Overstreet?
Good news is Jim decided this year Nostomania should start supporting
Canadian, U.K., and other Editions and publishers. Mainly because we are seeing
more and more sales of these and we feel our users will for example want to know
the price differential between a U.K. Hulk 2 and a U.S. Hulk 2.
And... of course, there are collectors like yourself who are living historical treasures,
who purchased books like these off the stands. Amazing.
So we will get this title in the database for you. Remember though, the change
won't migrate to the production database until the next site update.
Tommy...THANK YOU for your response and very kind words..."...living historical treasure..."
WOW!

MARTYMANN wrote:While listing my comics I discovered that the value of my remainder copy of
DETECTIVE COMICS #168 which I graded at 0.5 was extremely high...
Uncertified value $559.00
CGC value $1,140.00
CBCS value $1,040.00
I'm pleased at the value placed on it but would anyone actually pay that much?
Marty
Marty - see for yourself. We feel those numbers are very accurate, based on this...
Sign in, click Comics, then Pricing.
Now, search for Detective Comics
Now, "GoToIssue" 168
Click on that issue number
Now you are on the "pricing details" page. Scroll down. See the pricing
curves and actual sales recorded for this issue? Those sales are
what fuels the Nostomania pricing algorithms. If we have recent sales,
(and we do here), those numbers are solid.
Can you see how somebody recently paid over 8 thousand dollars for a
VG+ ?? It's getting insane, some of the sales for these books. But great
for you! Let us know if this helped.
STARMAN...
I am not questioning the accuracy of the numbers just the willingness of someone
to pay that amount.
Thanks for your response.

Tommy...
I posted scans of my copy and the copy used by Overstreet on CBCS thread Astonishing Comics Prices
Post #33.
CGC lists it on the label as Variant Edition...0220136001.
Original edition with extra illustrated panels on cover.

Marty - this is Tommy, I am actually in the middle of simplifying how members can add images.
You inspired me to make this improvement we have been thinking about here for quite awhile now.
It's almost done so hold tight and probably next week I can send you steps on how to do this.
Thank you Tommy! I would truly enjoy sharing scans of my books with this collecting community.

Can only graded books be listed?
Marty
Marty - you can add certified or uncertified books. If uncertified, you need to estimate the grade
yourself, and the value estimate will be based on uncertified sales of that item.
Does that answer your question?
YES!...thank you. I have already begun adding my uncertified collection.
