Gain/Loss trends for anything in your My Lists collections

We have a new Premium Service feature this month, suggested by longtime member Chuck Hensey. Any item you add to your collections in My Lists will now show both the 1-year and 3-year value trend (gain or loss) based on Nostomania pricing. Here are a few examples to give you an idea how useful this can be. Say many years ago you bought, for investment purposes, a 1976 Bicentennial Silver Washington Quarter. The best of the best - a PCGS PF-70 Silver Proof, Deep Cameo. Hopefully you weren't the person who paid $2,760.00 for this coin back in 2007, because as the number of PF-70 graded examples goes up, the value keeps coming down. As the figure below shows, if you are a Nostomania Premium Subscriber, you can now keep an eye on these trends over time right in My Lists.

Value trend for a poor investment example

Now say a few years back you heard about DC planning for Wonder Woman to begin appearing in their big movies. First, in Batman V Superman, then in her own feature film sometime in 2017. If you were smart enough to seek out a deal on even a very low grade copy of All Star Comics 8, 1st appearance of Wonder Woman, check out what a great investment that turned out to be. Of course you had to have the money to spend in the first place, but if you did, this was a great place to drop it.

Whether you see green or red, hopefully you can use this information to help guide some good decisions going forward. Thanks Chuck, for this great idea. Folks, please let us know your thoughts on the new feature, and let us know what else would make the site more useful.

Have a great December and holiday season, everyone. Look for new pricing data next update! As always, thanks very much, all of you, for supporting the site.

Thanks, we'll see you all next month.
