eBay sellers, bring your business here.
Most sellers out there are painfully aware of the recent rate hikes announced by eBay. Small business owners will be hit hard. For example, starting February 18th, the monthly fee to operate an eBay Store goes up an alarming 60%, from $9.95 to $15.95. In addition, the Final Value Fee for an eBay Store item under $25.00 is increasing from 5.25% to 8%!
We'd like to remind folks just how cheap it is to sell here on Nosto. We've never raised rates, and here is a sample fee comparison for a seller who moves 100 different $15.00 items in one month. In each case, the cost to sell on eBay is almost two and a half times more!
You can now set a global lines per page value in My Account. So if you prefer, you can see more info on each page rendered. For example, a coin collector can now view the entire run of Washington Quarters in 4 pages instead of 27, and a comic collector can now view the entire run of Amazing Spider-Man in 6 pages instead of 34.
Goodbye Will Eisner
I admit, I haven't really taken time to reflect on this one. Maybe I'm afraid to. Nostalgia hits me hard - it's the meaning behind this site - Nostomania, "overwhelming nostalgia". For any fan of comic books, this guy was a true super-hero. My feelings are strange - I miss the old Eisner/Iger shop, and all the greats who worked there, even though it was gone long before I was born. But good comics show us you don't have to live through something to feel it. Eisner was one of the best at showing us. You'll be missed Will.
Don't forget, all you have to do is create a single Collection, Wantlist, or Salelist item during the appropriate month to qualify for our sweepstakes. Why not take a look and see what we're giving away (and gave away last month), free as always.
Thanks, we'll see you all next month.
