The Nosto database grew quite a bit this month, with over 3,500 new issues added in comic books alone. This is in part due to our efforts to include all new variants going forward, and to back-fill missing past variants.
I'm still not satisfied with progress on the Nostomania mobile app, but I guess that's my job, right? - to never be satisfied it's good enough. So I think we will start alpha-testing with a subset of Premium Subscribers. I'll be in touch regarding this in the monthly Premium Subscriber email newsletter.
Several of our users have noticed our pricing has been a bit out of whack on certain issues recently. We have good news here. We located a subtle bug in our code awhile back that inserted some bias into the pricing we generated for items with sparse sales data. This bias was subtle enough to not be caught when checking individual updates, but accumulated over multiple pricing cycles. We've regenerated our recent comic, coin, and magazine pricing with the bug removed so that you'll have more accurate current and historical values for your collection. As you know, Nostomania is one of the few sites to give you historical pricing going back nearly 20 years. We've got some plans to highlight that historical pricing data, but we won't spill the beans on that until it's ready.
Wishing you all a great summer, whatever your plans are!
Thanks everybody, see you back here in a month.
